Vintage Car Club - North Shore Branch

The Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated was formed in 1946 in Christchurch, New Zealand, initially as the Vintage Vehicles Association.

Since then, branches have become established throughout the country. The Vintage Car Club (North Shore Branch) was founded in 1973.

Club Runs are generally 3rd Sunday in month (See Coming Events).

The Branch is responsible for administering Vintage Car Club of NZ Inc. affairs in the North Shore region.

We have common boundaries with the Auckland Branch at the Harbour Bridge and the Wellsford / Warkworth Branch at Warkworth.

Club Eligible Vehicles

You do not need to own a club eligible vehicle to belong to the NZVCC, however the following is a list of the official classifications of club eligible vehicles.

  • Veteran Vehicles - Motor Vehicles constructed prior to 31st December 1918.
  • Vintage Vehicles - Motor Vehicles constructed between 1st January 1919 and 31st December 1931.
  • Post Vintage Vehicles - Motor Vehicles constructed between 1st January 1932 and 31st December 1945.
  • Post War Vehicles - Motor Vehicles constructed between 1st January 1946 and 31st December 1960.
  • Post 1960 Vehicles - Motor Vehicles constructed after 1st January 1961 provided that no vehicle is accepted for this class until January 1st of the year that is thirty years after its original year of construction.
  • Factory Built and Historic Racing Vehicles - as described in the Club By-Laws.
  • Period Specials - as described in the Club By-Laws.
