Vintage and Classic Vehicle Hire

The N.Z.V.C.C. and its branches can no longer condone the hire of vintage and/or classic vehicles as wedding cars or for other events where people are carried for a fee.

This is due to the stringent legislation introduced by LTNZ which applies to all vehicles designated passenger carrying vehicles (any vehicle which carries passengers for a fee whether it be commercially or a one off arrangement), the costs associated with vehicle compliance required by this legislation are too prohibitive for anything other than full time commercial use.

We apologise and assure you that this was an activity previously enjoyed by some of our branch members.
